Calender Cards

I had a calender lying about which I had been unable to get rid of because I loved the pictures. It was an old Kew Gardens one Mum had passed on to me. Then on Angry Chicken's blog I saw instructions on how to make cards out of an old calender. So that's just what I did. 5 sheets of pictures (because that is all I had saved) made 10 cards.

It was a quick and easy project; less than 1/2 an hour's work start to finish and very little mess. My two criterias for undertaking any project! Though, as I say that, the kitchen table is covered in cut fabric and has been for the last two days:) I haven't wanted to disturb my arrangement of patchwork squares so we have been eating around it!

  1. Hi! I don't know how heavy your chalkboard is but mine is really light so I used painters tape to tape the ribbon on the back. If it is really heavy then you might want to hang your chalkboard on a nail or use a plate hanger and then slide the ribbon through the back to make it look like it is hanging with the ribbon. It it is not too heavy but too heavy for painters tape you might try duct tape. :)

  2. Hi Sarah, thanks for calling by. I love the cards you made and the idea is such a good one I'm going to copy it for sure. Your new home in Queensland (trees in the mist) looks beautifully peaceful and such an idyllic place for a baby to live. One of my blogging chums recently gave birth to her third child and her daily posts suddenly turned into weekly ones! If you haven't seen her colourful blog you might enjoy it. After she announced the arrival of her new baby she received 939 comments from bloggers....amazing! Take care. Eli..... This is the blog I mentioned - http://attic24.typepad.com/
